Recover access without a custodial reset

Short answer
If you lose a device or cannot sign in, your Vaulta account and funds are still on chain. Open Recover, enter your account name, and use a path you already prepared: a synced passkey, a wallet that still controls the account, or the offline owner key you saved at creation. Blocksfinity cannot reset keys. If you prepared none of these paths, access cannot be restored.
What recovery means
A Vaulta account is controlled by the keys listed in its permissions. The owner permission is the top authority. The active permission handles everyday actions. Recovery means proving you still hold one of those keys, then rebuilding day-to-day access, such as a new passkey or a fresh key on a new device. It is not a reset. No one can add a key to an account without a key that already controls it.
The three recovery paths
- Use a synced passkey. Where passkeys are enabled, if your passkey synced to this device through your platform account, Reconnect my passkey matches it to the passkey key on chain. No keys change and no transaction is sent.
- Sign in with a wallet. Connect Blocksfinity Authenticator, Anchor, or another supported wallet that still holds a key for the account. This is the recommended path when this browser has no passkey.
- Use my owner (recovery) key. Paste the private key you saved when the account was created. It signs you in without a transaction, is held in memory only, and is never stored. If this option is not available on your network, import the same key into the installed Authenticator app or another wallet and use the wallet path.
How to recover, step by step
- Go to /recover on the official Blocksfinity site.
- Enter your account name and tap Continue.
- Under Choose a recovery path, pick the one you prepared.
- Complete it: reconnect the passkey, approve in your wallet, or paste the owner key.
- When you see that you are back in, secure the account before doing anything else.
After you are back in
- Register a new passkey for this device, where passkeys are enabled.
- If the lost device could be in someone else's hands, replace its key in Keys & Permissions. The owner permission can replace the active key.
- Work through the Security checklist, and consider Safe Mode for a waiting period on active key spends.
Prepare before you need it
Recovery is your job, and it only works if you set it up while you still have access. Aim for at least two of these:
- The offline owner key, written down or stored offline, in more than one place.
- A second wallet, such as Authenticator on another device or Anchor, that holds a key for the account.
- A synced passkey, if you use passkeys. Keep a standard owner key too. A passkey does not replace it.

What Blocksfinity cannot do
Blocksfinity never holds your keys. It cannot reverse chain transactions, restore lost keys, reset a forgotten Authenticator password, recover a lost passkey, or undo a mistaken transfer. Support cannot do these either. If every path is gone, the account is out of reach for good. That is how self-custody works, not a product defect. Anyone who offers to reset your keys for a fee is running a scam.

Questions people ask
Can Blocksfinity reset my password or keys?
No. Blocksfinity is non-custodial. It never holds your keys, so it cannot reset them, restore a lost passkey, or reset a forgotten Authenticator password. Recovery only works with a path you already control.
What recovery paths exist on Blocksfinity?

I lost my phone. Are my funds gone?
No. Your account and funds stay on chain. You need another path that still controls the account, such as a synced passkey, a second wallet, or your offline owner key.
What happens if I lost every key and backup?
Access cannot be restored. Nobody, including Blocksfinity and support, can create a new key for an account they do not control. That loss is permanent, which is why you should set up a second path now.
Is it safe to enter my owner key on the Recover page?
Only on a device you trust and only on the official site. The key is used to sign in, held in memory, and never stored. Anyone who sees that key controls the account, so never share it or type it anywhere else.
Does recovering send a transaction?
Signing in does not. Reconnecting a synced passkey changes nothing on chain. Registering a new passkey or rotating keys afterwards is a transaction that you sign.
